We store all our important data on hard disk drives and never think that there could be a possibility that the drive might develop a fault. The only protection against hard drive failure is backup, even though data recovery and drive repairs are available it’s not always possible to recover all the data needed. Data backups should be taken on a regular basis, we recommend external hard drives or USB memory pens depending on the amount of data to be backed up, most of the time the value of the information stored on your computer will exceed the cost of the backup drive.

One of the most common laptop failures is the optical drive, symptoms are if the drive won’t open, or if its unable to read cd’s / DVD’s. Sometimes we can clean the optic lens but more often we just replace the drive its self. We carry plenty of replacements in stock, if we don’t have the correct drive in stock we can order it next day. Don’t worry if the drive won’t open and there is still a disc inside we can remove it for you.
